The solutions of the problems which the mankind has carried from 20th century to 21st century and the abundance of unenlightened issues in the living world highlight the importance of life sciences education. Our department consists of the Divisions of Genetics, Biotechnology and Molecular Cell Biology. Our academic staff who are experienced in these fields aim to educate the students who not only shed light to the problems of the modern world but also take responsibility to unravel the unknown.
Molecular biology and genetics is a privileged field in terms of research grant support in Turkey. It has a bright future both in Turkey and in the World. The young people who have been selecting their professions display a growing interest in molecular biology and genetics. In paralel, the number of Molecular Biology and Genetics departments in Turkish universities are continously growing.
The graduates of our department;
- Will be able to have job opportunities in the areas of pharmacy, biotechnology, agriculture, food and biomedical industry
- Will be able to pursue scientific careers by continuing their education in the graduate programs of life sciences, biotechnology and bioinformatics at Turkish and abroad universities.
