MISSION
The mission of the Department of Geological Engineering is to educate qualified geological engineers who possess a strong foundation in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences; have theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of geological engineering; are capable of identifying, analyzing, and solving engineering problems related to earth sciences using appropriate methods; have the ability to acquire and interpret data; are aware of ethical responsibility, environmental sustainability, and occupational health and safety; can actively participate in interdisciplinary and teamwork-oriented environments; and recognize the importance of lifelong learning.
VISION
The vision of the Department is to be a respected and preferred Department of Geological Engineering that embraces a philosophy of continuous improvement in education, research, and community service; closely follows scientific and technological developments in earth sciences and geological engineering; produces innovative and applicable solutions in areas such as natural resources, engineering geology, and environmental issues; and is distinguished by the professional competence and ethical values of its graduates.
