The Department of Business Administration was established in 1992 and started education with 50 students in 1993.

In 1993, the second education programme was opened and started education with 50 students in 1994.

In 2008, a 30% English programme was opened and started education with 100 students.

In 2009, the second education of 30% English programme was opened and started education with 100 students.

In 2011, 30% of English programmes were closed and the department has been continuing its education with its regular and evening-education Turkish programmes since then.

Since 2009, the English Business Administration Programme, which has been under the Department of English Business Administration, has been placed under the Department of Business Administration after the English Business Administration Department was closed and merged with the Department of Business Administration with the decision of the Executive Board of Higher Education on 26 December 2018.

As of the 2019 Spring semester, the English Business Programme has been continuing its education under the Department of Business Administration.
