This department, which examines the concepts of religion and belief as old as human history, the philosophical, sociological, and psychological dimensions of religion, in other words, the foundations of the relationship between humans and religion, the place and functions of religion in individual and social life, the relationship between religion and reason, and religious education with a scientific approach, consists of the following main branches of study.

1. Department of Islamic Philosophy

(Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Ethics, Logic)

2. Department of Religious Studies

(Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Religious Education, History of Religions, Philosophy of Religion)
