Pamukkale University's Faculty of Theology was officially established by Council of Ministers Decree No. 2012/2928 dated February 27, 2012. In the 2013-2014 academic year, it began teaching in the university's rented annex building in Gümüşlük with 40 students admitted through an additional quota. In 2014, it moved to the basement of the Rectorate building and has continued teaching in the existing building, which it shares with the School of Health Services, since 2015.
