At the 28th Finance Symposium, one of the most recognized organizations in the field of finance, our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Uyar and our doctorate student Dr. Aslan AYDOĞDU from the Department of Business Administration were awarded first place for their presentation.

Held every October by a different university in collaboration with the Finance Science Platform, this year's Finance Symposium was organized by Malatya Turgut Özal Üniversitesi on October 15-18. At the symposium, which was attended by over 200 participants with 90 scientific papers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Uyar from our faculty and Dr. Aslan AYDOĞDU from Sivas Bilim ve Teknoloji Üniversitesi participated with their paper titled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on ESG Performance: An Empirical Approach Based on Quantile and Time-Frequency.” The study, which examines the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, reveals that these technologies generally strengthen sustainability indicators. The analysis results show that the impact of artificial intelligence varies across specific time cycles and is closely related to the effectiveness of corporate governance structures. The scientific study, which indicates that the integration of artificial intelligence in the digitalization process can make sustainable finance policies more efficient, was awarded first prize following a vote by the referees and the symposium's scientific committee.
