To be admitted to the postgraduate programs run by Pamukkale University's Department of Economics, specific criteria must be met. These criteria are reviewed each academic year but generally include the following:

For Citizens of the Republic of Turkey:

  • ALES Score: Candidates applying for a master’s program must have a minimum score of 60 in the Equal Weight category, and those applying for a Doctorate program must have at least 65.
  • Foreign Language Proficiency: At least 40 points in the ÖSYM Foreign Language Exam for the master’s program with thesis, and at least 55 for the Ph.D. program.
  • Equivalent Exams: Scores from other exams accepted as equivalent to ALES or the ÖSYM Foreign Language Exam are also valid.

For Foreign Nationals:

  • Foreign nationals are not required to take the ALES exam to be admitted to postgraduate programs in Turkey.
