The Economic and Econometric Research and Application Center (EKOMER) held its first meeting with its newly appointed Executive Board. During the meeting, fundamental decisions were made regarding the center's mission, vision, and operational focus areas.
EKOMER aims to conduct scientific research in the fields of economic and econometric analysis, develop applied projects, and provide guidance for academic studies. The board emphasized the importance of strengthening the center’s capacity to deliver data-driven solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration.
The center is committed to contributing to scientific knowledge production through policy analysis, modeling techniques, and data science applications in the areas of economics and econometrics. It was stated that EKOMER’s upcoming activities and projects will focus on developing innovative solutions addressing both academic and sectoral needs.
In line with the decisions taken at the meeting, the center’s short- and long-term goals were defined, and strategic initiatives have been launched to enhance EKOMER’s effectiveness in applied research fields.
