In the Foreign Trade Program, it is aimed for our students to graduate with the knowledge and skills to perform foreign trade transactions. The educational objective is to train qualified vocational staff equipped with practical and theoretical knowledge in foreign trade-related business areas such as import and export-based banking, transportation, customs, and foreign exchange legislation.

It is targeted that program graduates are proficient in the legislation of foreign trade transactions, possess foreign language knowledge, and meet the requirements of the professional business world. The program awards an associate degree in the field of Foreign Trade with 120 ECTS credits. Students wishing to enroll in the department must complete the processes determined by ÖSYM and pass the required exams within the framework of the university's academic and legal regulations.

The education period is 2 years, and to successfully complete the program, students must pass all available courses (corresponding to 120 ECTS). Additionally, the 3+1 education model was adopted in the 2024-2025 academic year. Successful completion of a one-semester internship is required for graduation.

The program includes courses such as General Law, General Accounting, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Office Programs, Commercial Law, Foreign Trade Transactions, Customs Transactions, Banking and Foreign Exchange Transactions, International Marketing, Free Zones, and Logistics.

The Foreign Trade Program aims to raise an expert and qualified workforce capable of working as foreign trade personnel to meet the changing and developing needs of the sector. Students of the Foreign Trade Department who successfully complete the 2-year associate degree education can take office in the Ministry of Finance, the Undersecretariat of Customs, and their affiliated units.

Furthermore, employment opportunities are available in logistics firms and private sector enterprises engaged in import-export. Students graduating from the program have the opportunity to transfer to undergraduate programs through Formal or Distance Education Systems in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations on the Continuation of Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs to Undergraduate Education.
