The Department of Environmental Engineering at Pamukkale University was established in 1994 within the Faculty of Engineering and began its educational activities with the opening of the Environmental Engineering Master's Program in 1995. Since 2008, it has offered education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Initially launched in 2008 with an English preparatory-based undergraduate program with 30% of the curriculum in English, the program continued from the Fall semester of 2010 onwards with an optional English preparatory-based program with 100% of the curriculum in Turkish. The department graduated its first students in the 2012 academic year. From the 2015-2016 academic year onwards, Doctoral and Evening Program undergraduate programs were opened. Since the 2021-2022 academic year, educational activities have continued in all programs except the Evening Program.
