Pamukkale University Environmental Engineering Department was founded in 1994 under the Engineering Faculty of Pamukkale University and started her educational activities in 1995 by offering M.Sc. degrees in "Environmental Engineering". Our department has provided training in the undergraduate and graduate levels since 2008. Training that was initiated based as 30% English content in undergraduate program, has continued based on 100% Turkish content with Optional English preparatory program as of fall semester 2010. We have the first graduates in 2012 academic year.
In our department, laboratory education in undergraduate level as well as many graduate and undergraduate thesis and research project has been carried out with the laboratory infrastructure obtained from Environmental Engineering Research, Laboratory of Solid Waste, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Microbiology, Wastewater Research, and Biotechnology Laboratory. In addition, the University-Industry cooperation is carried out by means of laboratory services and the revolving fund.
Total 11 academic staff consisted of 4 professors, 3 associate professors, 2 assistant professors and 2 research assistants are present in our department.
Pamukkale University Environmental Engineering Department is producing regional and national projects with young, dynamic, innovative, and highly qualified academic staffs, and these projects are capable of delivering solutions to problems.
