Pamukkale University Altay Communities Language and Cultures Application and Research Center was established in 2020 to conduct research, studies, and applications in all social fields, including language, history, culture, literature, politics, sociology, archaeology, economics, and finance, for the Altay communities and the Turkic States, communities, and Turks living in other countries that are part of this community, to support the research conducted, and to strengthen mutual relations.
This center aims to collaborate with departments in the social sciences, such as Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, Geography, Philosophy, Sociology, History, and Turkish Language and Literature, as well as departments in other scientific fields such as engineering, architecture, theology, sports, education, health, and economics, on necessary issues, and to carry out reciprocal studies and projects with other Altaic communities where studies related to the Turkic world are conducted.
All departments and programs whose aim is to train Turkologists and scientists in different fields of the Turkic world and to conduct joint studies will have the opportunity to conduct research, prepare projects, and establish collaborations at an international level thanks to this center. "Altay Communities Language and Culture Application and Research Center" also aims to provide guidance and opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students studying in fields such as Turkish language, history, culture, sociology, philosophy, architecture, art, economics, and contemporary studies of Turkish dialects and literatures, by ensuring they have the necessary documents and appropriate academic conditions, and by facilitating communication with scholars and academics in relevant fields of the Turkic world.
The center aims to invite leading figures in the fields of Altaistics and the Turkic world to our university through projects, conferences, or teaching, to develop cooperation in various fields, and to coordinate research and studies related to the Turkic world encompassing areas such as language, literature, history, culture, philosophy, sociology, architecture, art, education, etc. Furthermore, the center aims to facilitate the integration of students coming from Altay communities and significantly from the Turkic world to different faculties, colleges, and departments, as well as faculty members who are our guests on temporary assignments, and to conduct preparatory seminars explaining the conditions in Turkey and our city. These activities differentiate the center from the programs and research currently being conducted.
