This event is a teacher field school that will take place under the supervision of researchers with geoscience expertise, aiming to raise awareness of teachers about geoscience education and emphasizing the importance of fieldwork in the Lycus Valley, an area that attracts the attention of geoscientific researchers in Europe and all over the world. In this five-day field school, a special theme was focused on for each day, and theoretical lessons, laboratory applications and field works were planned by expert researchers about this theme.

This project aims to change teachers' perspective on geosciences by using the geological and natural resources in the Lycus Valley of Denizli (especially at Pamukkale) and its immediate surroundings for educational purposes, to increase interest in geosciences and to enable participants to spread the experiences they will gain to their own students and to all the people around them. Denizli and its immediate surroundings have important opportunities and possibilities in terms of geosciences with its geological structure (active fault systems, natural wonder Pamukkale, geothermal systems, unique caves, marble and travertine quarries and mineral deposits, etc.), richness of flora and fauna (Honaz National Park) and archaeological settlements (i.e. ancient cities of Hierapolis, Laodikya and Tripolis). From this perspective, this region is a natural museum to carry out observations and practices related to all branches of science within the scope of geosciences. In this context, it is aimed to contribute to the participants' perception of this natural museum as a laboratory and their ability to understand nature-human relations and the problems experienced in these relations and to develop their skills in producing solutions.
