Departmental Info

Pamukkale University-Psychology Department was established in 2013. Academic staff consists of a professor, three assistant professors and 2 research assistants. Our other 2 research assistants are conducting their PhD in different universities in Turkey and when they get their PhD degree they will return to the department. Our department is ready to welcome our first bachelor students in September 2021.

To start our graduate level education with our university’s vision, mision, values and strategical goals perspective and to educate psychologists that make researchs in national and international level, provide benefits to their field with their scientifict contribution and practice their profession in the advantage of society.

Our Mission

Our mission is to train psychologists who have full scientific knowledge of psychology and related fields and eager to develop themselves in the field. Besides, it is to produce scientific and psychological knowledge and  use it in advantage of society. 

 

PAU Psychology Department Academic Ethical Principles

 

PAU Department of Psychology states that we will comply with the following academic ethical principles based on the ethical foundations and principles required as a psychologist.

 

1- We will not impose or discriminate on their values, identity, beliefs, freedoms etc of no individual, especially our colleagues and students.

 

2- As psychologists from different universities and different schools, we will not allow the content of any school to impose itself, remembering that no paradigm or school is superior and that all different views and schools are better suited to explain the "existing" correctly together.

 

3- Regardless of the title, none of our colleagues can be left under the obligation of doing another academician’s (regardless of his / her title) tasks or preparing course materials. Any ethical violation will not be tolerated by our department as an academic violation or plagiarism.

 

4- The decisions about our department will be taken as a result of the decision of all academicians in the department, regardless of their titles.

 

Considering the basic principles of psychology, we declare that we accept these terms and conditions as every academician working at Pamukkale University Psychology Department.
