Purpose of the Quality Policy
The Quality Policy of Pamukkale University (PAU) defines the fundamental principles established by the University administration—based on legal requirements and contemporary quality management approaches—during the structuring and maintenance of the quality management system across all units of the University, and which are embraced by all staff.
Policies
Pamukkale University:
a) Carries out all quality-oriented activities in line with its mission, vision, and core values, and always prioritizes an innovative and entrepreneurial approach.
b) Operates in all its units and management processes according to the “plan–do–check–act” quality assurance cycle and adopts continuous improvement as a fundamental principle.
c) Ensures the participation of all stakeholders, especially staff and students, in its processes and carries out activities aimed at increasing their satisfaction.
d) Conducts institutional risk management activities to ensure sustainability and continuous quality improvement.
e) Places equal emphasis on respect for people and the environment within its modern quality approach. Environmental protection, occupational health, and safety practices are carried out in accordance with established standards and regulations.
f) Adopts a foresight-based approach to decision-making as a core element of its quality philosophy.
g) Aims to be a nationally and internationally competitive university through the quality of its products and services in all areas of activity.
h) Recognizes that feedback and a culture of suggestions from stakeholders play a key role in quality improvement and carries out structured processes to ensure their systematic implementation.
i) Measures key outcomes through assessment and evaluation methods and ensures that each unit implements continuous improvement practices based on these results.
j) Designs and maintains educational activities with innovative approaches and a student-centered perspective, benefiting from quality assurance and accreditation standards in education.
k) Takes into account the views of internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement in educational processes, evaluates these views in decision-making environments, and reflects them in its practices.
l) Establishes a systematic structure to ensure communication and continuous collaboration with graduates.
m) Conducts training and awareness-raising activities to promote the dissemination of quality culture.
n) Establishes a self-evaluation system to ensure the quality of academic programs. Based on the results of these systematic evaluations, it plans and implements necessary improvement actions.
o) Encourages accreditation processes for academic programs and provides the necessary resources in line with accreditation requirements.
p) Systematically monitors research and development activities and their outcomes in alignment with relevant strategic goals and objectives.
q) Conducts activities aimed at improving the quality of projects, effectively and efficiently using modern technologies, and fostering a culture of completing projects accurately and on time.
r) Establishes, evaluates, and uses performance assessment systems for R&D activities, and plans and implements improvement actions based on the results.
s) Provides equal access opportunities for academic staff to research and development resources.
t) Systematically monitors community engagement activities and their outcomes in line with strategic goals and objectives.
u) Ensures coherence among its Education, Research & Development, Community Engagement, and other management policies and related activities.
