Pamukkale University was officially established on July 11, 1992, by Law No. 3837. The Faculty of Arts and Sciences was among the first faculties established under the Rectorate. From the 1994-1995 academic year onwards, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences continuously improved its physical infrastructure, research activities, and the number and quality of its academic and administrative staff. The Faculty of Arts and Sciences was closed on July 25, 2022, by Law No. 5868, and re-established as the Faculty of Science by Presidential Decree of the same date and number, and currently continues its educational and research activities. Since that date, it has continued its education with the departments of Biology, Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Molecular Biology, and Genetics. The Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics departments of our Faculty of Science, which encompasses fundamental sciences crucial for all scientific disciplines, accept students at nearly 100% capacity each year. The departments not only offer undergraduate education, but also provide Master's and Doctoral programs in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics within the Faculty of Science. The Faculty of Science has 18 classrooms and a total of 46 laboratories for research and student use, one of which is equipped with computers.

Our faculty continues to grow and develop rapidly, and in line with the experience gained from this quantitative growth, it also improves the quality and standards of its educational services.
