In line with the restructuring process of departments and sub-disciplines of education faculties in Turkey, the proposal to establish the "Department of Philosophical, Social and Historical Foundations of Education" within the Department of Educational Sciences at Pamukkale University Faculty of Education has been brought to the agenda.
The said proposal was examined at the meeting of the Council of Higher Education Executive Board on 06/07/2017, and the establishment of the department was deemed appropriate in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880.
The official establishment of the department was communicated to the University Rector's Office by the letter of the Council of Higher Education Presidency, Department of Education and Training, dated 07/07/2017 and numbered 75850160-101.03.01-46092, and the department commenced its academic activities under the umbrella of the Department of Educational Sciences.
