Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Publishing Principles

• Medialog TR Journal is an open access, peer-reviewed academic journal that is electronic and published twice a year.
• If the editorial board accepts, it is possible to add additional issues or special issues. The editorial board decides on the number of studies to be published for each issue.
• The journal, whose writing language is Turkish and English, contains original studies prepared in accordance with academic standards on topics related to communication sciences, sub-disciplines and different disciplines related to communication sciences.
• The responsibility of the scientific content of the study and the expressions used belongs to the authors.
• The studies that complete the refereeing process are ranked.
• No fee is required for the studies to be published in Medialog TR. Due to the open access policy, the published works can be accessed via https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/medialogtr web address.
• All authors are expected to read and understand the publication policy of Medialog TR before submitting their work to the journal. Most plagiarism, copyright infringement and similar situations are not caused by ulterior motives, but by the problem of not being understood. If you have a question about the measures taken against the prevention of ethical abuse, you can contact the editorial office. If a study is sent to Medialog TR, it is understood that all authors read and accept the said rules and that the study is in accordance with the policies of the journal.
• The studies to be published in Medialog TR must not have been published in another journal or other media before and must not have been accepted for publication. However, it is possible to publish the full texts of the studies presented in scientific meetings (provided that they have not been published before). For this, the study must be made suitable for the journal's article format.
• Studies produced from theses are also subject to peer review. Studies produced from the thesis or presented in a scientific meeting should be indicated as a footnote at the bottom of the first page where the abstract is located.
• The works must be sent to the journal's web page (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/medialogtr).
• Authors must have an ORCID number.
• When sending studies, identity and contact information that reveals the explicit identity of the author should not be included.
• A single study by a number of authors is included in Medialog TR. Even if it is a co-author, a second work is not accepted.
• In addition to original studies, short introductions, criticisms and interviews of audio-visual studies are also published in Medialog TR. These studies must be single author.
• Studies that do not edit according to the writing rules of Medialog TR and the "Templates" on the journal page are returned without going to the editor and referee evaluation process. The board makes the final decision on the publication of the studies.

The studies to be sent to the journal must be sent with the following documents:
• "Copyright Transfer Form" signed by all authors must be sent. All publication rights of the accepted works belong to the journal and the author is deemed to have transferred the copyrights and no royalties are paid to him. You can download the Medialog TR Copyright Transfer Form from the attachment at the end of the page.
• The "Conflict of Interest Form" signed by all authors must be sent. You can download Medyalog TR Conflict of Interest Form from the attachment at the end of the page.
