Assoc. Prof. Dr. Levent KIRCA is an academician and researcher specializing in horticultural crops and plant biology. His academic work primarily focuses on the conservation of genetic resources of fruit trees, determination of phenotypic diversity, and biochemical characterization.

His research portfolio encompasses economically significant species such as hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.), almond (Prunus amygdalus L.), pear (Pyrus spp.), and walnut, as well as minor fruit species including jujube, cherry laurel, and wild pear. He contributes to the scientific literature particularly through his studies on nutrient element dynamics in plants, secondary metabolites, fatty acid composition, and antioxidant activities.

Dr. KIRCA has numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals (SCI-Expanded) and national outlets, along with book chapters and scientific projects. His work also includes practical experience in modern agricultural techniques, nursery production technologies, and the establishment of soilless cultivation systems. He continues his innovative research in plant biology and fruit cultivation, while actively serving as an editor and reviewer for international scientific journals.
