BAKEA Symposium is open to all participants from the fields of English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature, French and German Language and Literary Studies, Comparative Literature, Translation Studies.

7th BAKEA (International Western Cultural and Literary Studies Symposium), initiated and organized in 2009 by the Department of Western Languages and Literatures at Pamukkale University, will be held at Pamukkale University, jointly hosted by Departments of English, German and French Language Literature.
Covid 19 pandemic that has taken the whole world under its immense influence since the end of 2019 proved that our homes are vitally important for us. Home, which has never been a mere shelter but a living space for the modern human beings, has turned into a space of work and socialization. While it isolates people from the crowds, it also left individuals in an unprecedentedly busy schedule of lectures, seminars and conferences online. In this general framework, the topic of the conference covers but not limited to the following:

- Home and pandemic
- Home and health
- Home and language
- Home and memory
- Home and time
- Home and history
- Home and society
- Home and individuals
- Home and loneliness
- Home and traveling
- Domestic violence
- Utopian and Dystopian homes
