About

Dr. Ali Tekin Güner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Pamukkale University, Turkey. He earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Süleyman Demirel University and completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Pamukkale University. With over a decade of academic experience, he served as a Research Assistant between 2013 and 2022 before being appointed as Assistant Professor. He currently holds several administrative roles, including Board Member of the Materials Research and Application Center (since October 2024), Deputy Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering (2024–2027), and Member of the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Technology (2023–2026).

Dr. Güner’s research focuses on materials and surface engineering, particularly thermal spray coatings, surface modification technologies, materials characterization, heat treatments, and the development of biomaterials for biomedical applications. His interdisciplinary work bridges mechanical and biomedical engineering, contributing to the advancement of functional surfaces and implantable materials in medicine.
