Sude Nur Aykurt, a third-year Atelier student in the Painting Education Division of the Department of Fine Arts Education at the Faculty of Education, Pamukkale University, and Selcan Taktak, a 2025 graduate of the same division, were awarded the Exhibition Award within the scope of the “Dream Melodies Art Project,” hosted by Afyon Kocatepe University.
Within the interdisciplinary project, organized for the fourth time this year and bringing together undergraduate and graduate art students from across Türkiye, the theme was determined as La Traviata, the opera by Giuseppe Verdi. Approximately 150 works from 40 different universities nationwide were submitted, and following the jury evaluation, 30 works were deemed worthy of exhibition. Two works from Pamukkale University were included in this selection.
The Dream Melodies Art Project has been designed as an artistic production platform focusing on the interaction between music and visual arts, aiming to encourage students to transform opera-based narratives into visual interpretations. In the context of contemporary art education, the project serves as a practical field contributing to interdisciplinary production processes.
The selected works will be on view at the M. Rıza Çerçel Culture and Art Center of Afyon Kocatepe University between 17 February and 25 March 2026.
