International Invited Online Group Exhibition Theme: “CHILD”

An International Invited Online Group Exhibition titled “CHILD” will be organized by the Child Education Practice and Research Center of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University within the scope of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day events. The exhibition will be held online between April 23, 2026 and June 30, 2026. 

The exhibition aims to address the concept of childhood not only as a biological or age-based category, but also in relation to concepts such as hope, fragility, play, learning, rights, memory, and transformation. Centering on the transformative power of art, the event seeks to make visible individual and collective experiences, critical perspectives, and creative interpretations related to childhood. 

Works from all fields of art are welcome within the scope of the theme, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, graphic design, illustration, photography, video art, new media works, installations, performances, and interdisciplinary artistic productions. Contemporary artistic practices addressing the concept of childhood in the context of children’s rights, education, play culture, memory, migration, ecology, technology, and social transformation are also encouraged.

Participation Conditions and Rules

The exhibition is open to artists, communication professionals, academics in art and communication fields, and students.

Submitted artworks must not have been previously exhibited in another exhibition or awarded in any competition.

All works must be original and remain within commonly accepted limits of artistic inspiration. Participants are responsible for any copyright violations.

Works containing political propaganda, hate speech, unauthorized use of personal data, pornography, or inappropriate use of children will not be considered.

By submitting works, participants grant the organizing committee the right to exhibit, catalog, and use the works for promotional purposes of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. No copyright payment will be made.

Each participant may submit a maximum of two artworks.

Applications will be accepted online only. Submissions made after April 13, 2026 will not be considered.

Artwork images must be submitted in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.

All participating artists will receive a Certificate of Participation, and the artworks will be published in an e-catalog.

Selected artworks will be permanently displayed on the exhibition webpage and within the exhibition catalog.
