The scientific seminar titled "From Field to Technology: The Art and Science of Drying," which sheds light on the future of food technologies, was successfully concluded at Pamukkale University Çal Vocational School on October 21, 2026. During the event, Prof. Dr. Engin Demiray, a faculty member of the PAU Engineering Faculty's Food Engineering Department and a member of our Vocational School's Executive Board, delivered a highly dynamic and eye-opening seminar where he shared his valuable knowledge and experience.
Held in a sincere, interactive, and highly productive atmosphere with the participation of our academic and administrative staff as well as our students, the event featured an impressive presentation by Prof. Dr. Engin Demiray on the scientific foundation of food processing. The seminar covered a wide range of strategic topics, from water activity management and the industrial evolution of drying technologies to the preservation of nutritional values, Turkey's agricultural raw material potential, the transformation of products into value-added goods, food safety, and future sector vision.
The program, which opened the doors to an innovative sectoral vision for our students, concluded after an enjoyable question-and-answer session.
