The Theater Bath Cisterns

The cistern (water reservoir) located in the northwest of the Theater Bath, adjacent to the southern wall of the theater measures 10.25 x 10.85. The cistern was built with cut travertine blocks, round pebbles and bricks. It consists of three rectangular and one square rooms. The passages between the rooms and the rooms have vaulted ceilings. A preserved layer of plaster can be seen in patches on the walls of the cistern, which has remained partially unexcavated. The structure was formed of connected rooms and it was used as the water reservoir of the Theater Baths located on its southwest.
