Our Faculty originated from Denizli Teachers College for Girls which was established in 1957. The name of the college changed to Denizli Education Institute in 1982 and it became a part of Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Faculty of Education according to The Law on Higher Education. (Law no: 2547). Following the launch of Pamukkale University on the 3rd of July 1992 according to Law No: 3837, it started up as the University of Pamukkale, Faculty of Education, Department of Classroom Teaching on the 10th of November 1992.

In February 2008, our faculty moved to its new modern building of 22.000 m² closed space with 5 floors. It has facilities like projection and computer equipped classes, computer and science laboratories and drama halls. Taking the academic year of 2009-2010 into account, 4378 students are now studying at our Faculty. There are 162 academic staff, 6 of whom are professors, 9 associate professors, 68 assistant professors, 49 instructors, 26 research assistants and 2 lecturers.
