About the Department
Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology offers an undergraduate program.
The primary mission of the department is to prepare Information and Computer Technology (ICT) teachers who will gain experience in both pedagogy and information & computer technologies. Graduates of the program are employed in both public and private schools under the Ministry of National Education. Furthermore, graduates are supposed to gain the ability and information to facilitate the design of technology-enhanced learning environments and prepare educational software in cooperation with teachers from other disciplines. Therefore, graduates of the program are expected to guide teachers from various disciplines about the integration of technology into the classroom. The language of education is Turkish.
There are four computer labs in the department, two of which include 51, and two include 46 computers. When available, these labs are open to student use for their homeworks, projects etc.
